1 year pics
Today we got Kambree's one year picture's taken by Laurie Terry. It was a lot of fun & even more work! We were all doing EVERYTHING we could think of to get a cute smile or grin out of this girl but it was totally worth it. The images are AMAZING!!! But of course they are because Laurie is awesome & so passionate about getting a good shot. I got a chance to sneak a peek through the pics and they are all to die for. I also had the difficult task of picking one...(yes only one)... of a million pictures for my princess' debut in the Richfield Reaper! (Be sure to watch for her in next week's paper!) It's harder than one might imagine. There are some super duper cute ones of her in a hat & sunglasses but I didn't pick these for the paper since I didn't want any chance of her being mistaken for a boy & then some really awesome ones of her in a tutu & wings but didn't think it was quite approriate for her first published picture to be a topless shot! :P So I ended up picking one of her in a white/yellow top & yellow capris w/ matching yellow pigtails!! Kambree was really a good sport & was rewarded with a cake at the end of her session! She really didn't know what to do with it at first but did eventually dig in a little. So fun! Will post some pics when I get them!! Can't wait!! I really can't beleive my angel is turning 1 in just over a week!! :(

Springtime fun!
This past weekend we were in St George again. I got the chance to hang out with some of my favorite people...Victoria & Alisha & their families. We went shopping with Vic & her kids, went to the park & ate at Cafe Rio...yum. Brooklyn also did mine & Taneesha's hair & we took some pics in Vic & Eric's 31. It was fun. Kambree also went on her first hot rod ride! She loved it! We also went to the park with Alisha and played in the sand with her kids. Kambree & Kaston are so cute especially since they are so close in age. I really enjoy spending time with these guys and wish they weren't so dang far away!! Here are some pics to share.

Isn't it awesome it's finally getting warmer???

Ear Piercing!!
We were in St George this weekend & Grandma Carolyn, Jesse & I got Kambree's ears pierced. We were pretty nervous but she did great. Hardly any crying!!! AND she got a sucker afterwards & loved it so much she forgot she was even mad. I think she would say it was worth it since she treated the sucker like it was the best thing she had ever tasted. She cried more when we took it away when it was getting too small than she did when she got her ears pierced. Isn't she cute?? We chose pink earrings of course!! Also Kambree turned 11 months yesterday. I can't believe she will be one in less than a month. Where does the time go??

Kambree got her first real injury on Monday (Ok nothing major but this is the first time she's actually had a mark..I know I'm way over protective! LOL). She was playing with Aunt Ashley & fell over into the piano bench at Grandma's. Darn it! She's the cutest little black eyed girl I've ever seen...what do you think??

Wow!! It's been a long time since I updated. I really have been busy but enought with excuses, Here's what's been going on.
First things first...Update on Kambree -
She is almost 11 months old & full of it! She is always doing new & cute things that amuze us. Lately she has been climbing into, on & over everything. She pulls herself up, cruises furniture, pushes around toys, etc, etc. She even learned how to climb over our make shift baby gate we were using. She is amazed by our cats...or anyone's cats that is. She is always looking for them & calling "Cat" or "Kitty" but can't quite get to them before they bolt away from her. Lol! If they only liked her like she does them :(
Lately, she is fascinated with her tongue. She sticks it out like a snake & pulls it back in lalalalala...It's too funny. She also sticks it out all the time & makes the motor boat sounds. She still loves bath time. She would spend all day in there if I would let her. Her favorite toys are books, cell phones or remotes. If you say "Hello" to her she will put her hand up to her ear like she's talking on the phone. Super cute!
She is still a very picky eater but loves cookies, pudding, cake...you know, the good stuff! Still no teeth but has no problems munching on these things. She likes throwing things to the ground & having one of us pick them up or playing catch with her. Also just pulling anything & everything out bags, buckets, or bins. She definately keeps us busy. Crazy to think she'll soon be 1. Where has the time gone??
Also just an update with me & Jesse. Jesse's back is doing much better since he had the injections a little over 2 weeks ago. Hope that this continues so he is able to live somewhat pain free. He is no longer working for TURN but is studying to get his insurance license & will be taking his test this weekend. Once he gets his license, he will work with Grandpa Elwin at Hoyle Insurance Inc & eventually take over if things go as planned. It will be nice for him to be able to get out of the house and be active again. These last 4 months have been hard on both of us but I feel now that he is able to get around easier things will begin to get better!
For me, I'm still going to school & working at DWS. Work is busy but a little scary too. The economy definately increases my workload & makes me realize how quickly your lives can change especially after talking to so many people each day who were doing well but now have been laid off or had their business fail. Lots of reorginizations are going on at my work as well. Come April/May we may be told we will be on different teams. I will be able to adjust I'm sure but have had so many team changes in the last year I would love to find a semi-permanent "home." Although we are going through the changes I have to focus on the fact that essentially at the end of the day I will still be doing what I currently do but my primary function or team may have changed. We will make it through. I'm excited school is almost over for this year. I am currently in an English class that has me reading & writing way more than I would choose to do on my own. I will be happy to have it over with and to finally have my AAS degree. It's been a long time coming.

9 months
Kambree turned 9 months on 1/8/09. She is just getting too darn old. Went to the Dr today. No shots! Thank goodness, but she did get pricked in the toe...:( Overall she is doing good but is a skinny minnie! She is tall & skinny (per the doc she is average height but only in the 5th percentile in weight). Seems like a mix between me & Jesse.

We've got a crawler on our hands!
Here is a video of Kambree just learning to crawl - 12/23/08. It's an army crawl but it's definately crawling! She is getting faster everyday & getting into EVERYTHING!! Where does the time go?? She is growing up WAY too fast here!!
Utes!!
Woot Woot!! Utah won the game on Friday against Alabama with 8 QB sacks ta boot!! QUITE IMPRESSIVE since everyone picked them to be beaten badly! Awesome blossom! Only team in the nation to go undefeated all year including their bowl game! And here is a pic of the world's CUTEST Cheerleader!! YAY Kambree! Of course daddy was a little more entuhusiastic about the game then her but she just looks so stinkin adorable!!
Christmas!!
Christmas was so much fun this year! It was exciting to get to see Kambree open her gifts from everyone. She got SO spoiled, but she's totally worth it. Christmas morning all the grandparents came to our house to watch her open gifts. It's so great now that we have a little one, we don't have to run to 4 different Christmas's. YEAH!!! Kambree loved all her new toys but was just as happy with the paper & ribbon LOL! It took a long time to get them all opened so he kept taking breaks from unwrapping the gifts to drink her bottle.
I have to mention the cutest thing she did with her toys....We got her a singing stage mirror that lights up. She sat in front of it all morning just waving to herself!! We were all dying over how cute she was being. No cohersion at all. Aren't little ones fun??

Car Trouble!!
This week I have had so many car problems I'm now to the point of wondering "What's next???" Let me share... So for the past few weeks my car has been making a squeaking noise that eventually goes away after I drive the car. It's usually done squeaking before I get to Richfield Jesse hasn't been able to look at it with his back right now so I've basically just been winging it! No biggie. So this Thursday afternoon was my work Christmas party at my boss' house. I got there fine. No sign of problems. I was there for about 2 hours then when I went to leave my car wouldn't start. Oh great!! (Don't know if the squeeking is related to this or if it's just coincidence!!)So I call Jesse to see what to do. From what I explained...(It was trying to start but wouldn't turn over) he said it sounded like a dead battery - then he so thoughtfully mentioned that the battery for the car is located somewhere under the back seat!!! What the hell?? That's foreign cars for ya. So I break out the owner's manual to try & figure out how to jump start it!! (This shouldn't be this hard, seriously!!) So I go back into the party and read the manual & find out that the battery itself is under the back seat but you still jump it under the hood. Thankfully I didn't have to rip out my back seat looking for it!! My bosses husband so nicely helped me jump start the car & I was able to get home. Again, Jesse's back is in no shape to work on cars so today I decided to drive the Pontiac (Which hardly ever gets driven.)
First things first, I decided on my way to the Chiropractor I was hungry so stopped at Burger King on my way into town...AND....the window won't roll down! Great. I have to go in to place my order. I know worse things have happened but it's still just so inconvenient!! Next, I'm driving to Moe's mom's to go to Twilight - YES we caved & decided to go see this movie everyone is talking about - NOW I KNOW WHY!!! I heart Edward! Lol - Back on topic - When I get pulled over on the infamous 4th west!! Fabulous! Just what I need - a ticket! The cop comes up to the window & again...the window doesn't work! I have to open the door to see a kid that I went to high school with. (When did we get old & get real jobs???) He informs me that I was going 37 in the 25 & asks for my license & registration. I then remember I brought Jesse's wallet instead of my own so - no license. To top it off I couldn't find my registration either...which is 8 YES 8 months overdue on being registered as I was so kindly told by Officer Christensen!!! (Guess the renewal got sent to our old address or something??? I had no clue!!)
Even after all this, I got off with just a warning!! Thankfully!! I guess living in a small town & knowing a couple of people isn't so bad ALL of the time!! So long story short, I've got 2 bum cars at the moment with a hubby who is out of commission. SUPER!! Just what I need! Lol.

New Things....
Kambree is doing a few more things now... She can clap (with closed fists). She actually does this a lot while also screaming OR cheering...Not quite sure, but it's still cute! She also rolls her hands like with patty cake. Again, super cute!! She also has quite the temper...If you take away a toy, won't pick her up or try to feed her she yells/cries & throws her hands up. (Sounds like she's acting more & more like her daddy!!! Haha!) Still not crawling but it'll be any day we think!! Here are a couple pics of this last week.
Also on a side note...UTES WON BYU!! Jesse was ecstatic!! Yahoo!!!
