New Things....

Kambree is doing a few more things now... She can clap (with closed fists). She actually does this a lot while also screaming OR cheering...Not quite sure, but it's still cute! She also rolls her hands like with patty cake. Again, super cute!! She also has quite the temper...If you take away a toy, won't pick her up or try to feed her she yells/cries & throws her hands up. (Sounds like she's acting more & more like her daddy!!! Haha!) Still not crawling but it'll be any day we think!! Here are a couple pics of this last week.

Also on a side note...UTES WON BYU!! Jesse was ecstatic!! Yahoo!!!

7 months

Kambree turned 7 months on 11/8/08. She is growing so fast. She still doesn't like baby food but somethings we have found she likes are *cheerios, crackers, bananas, gerber graduates* and pretty much any kind of food she can pick up & feed herself. She has become very independent. She will not even allow me to pick up the food to help her make it into her mouth. Another "big girl" thing she does is drink water from a cup. It's the cutest thing ever...however, she is not a big fan of the sippy cup. She likes the real thing cause she is a "big girl!" Too funny!! (But definately one of the cutest things I have ever seen!!) I think she will be crawling soon. She tries to skoot & sticks her but in the air but for now is just rolling everywhere she needs to go. Crazy to think she is now closer to 1 than 0.... :(

Shot of my first pony! Check it out!! Lol. You can't really see it but it's there. Thanks to Deb for making these cute bows that we can finally start using!!
Bathtime fun! This is my first time in the bath without my baby sling!

Bitter beer face!! Lol. This is the face I make whenever momma sneaks in some food. After she gets in once I close my mouth so tight, nothing gets in. Such a stinker!!!

Kambree's 1st Halloween

Here's our little monster!! Isn't she so cute??? I really wanted her to be Tinkerbell but am glad that Jesse won this battle & she was a monster. We didn't run into anyone dressed like Kambree but did see about 10 little girls dressed as Tink.

We started out the day getting all dressed up w/ Melissa & Kaysen. They looked so cute together. Kaysen was a little devil & Mellisa was his mother also dressed as a devil.

Then we went to Trunk or Treat @ Lin's & then did a little trick
or treating around my mom's neighborhood. We did let Kambree have a sucker but...this is a shocker...She didn't really like it! We also went & saw the fam to show off Kambree's costume.

Jesse & I decided to dress up too. It was fun. We didn't end up doing much but we did get some crazy pics! Lol.

Back ache, Birthdays & update!

Jesse is now on his 3rd week of no work due to his back injury. We went in for his MRI yesterday. Hoping for the best. He thinks it must be pretty serious since he is still in so much pain. Hope he's wrong... :( This last week we celebrated Grandma Nan & Grandpa Dewain's birthdays. It was fun to go visit them. Of course the best part of their days was seeing Kambree. She is loved by so many people & is so blessed to have all of them in her life. Other than that not much has been going on. We are still working on getting Kambree to eat food. She actually opened her mouth to take a bite 5 times last night. Woot, woot, we're making progress! We all kinda caught a small bit of the bug this weekend thanks to those nasty flu shots! Mostly over it now. Thank goodness! Here are some pics of Kambree thoughout this last week. Gotta love all the clothes this cute girl has! :)

And the winner is....

MOMMY!!! Kambree said her first word last night! At least I think she said it. She was pretty upset & trying to go to sleep. She doesn't really cry but she was doing her whining that she does sometimes when she is really tired or really hungry & I'm pretty dang sure I heard a Mmmmaaaa Mmmmaa! Jesse says he had heard her say MOM-ME before but this was my first time. Pretty exciting stuff, man!!! Just had to brag! I can't beleive my baby is growing up so fast....

Food for thought!

We have been trying, emphasize TRYING, to feed Kambree food since she turned 6 months. She absolutely HATES it!! I think we have a PICKY eater on our hands...(not that she gets it from anywhere strange if you know Jesse & I!) We have tried rice cereal, carrots & sweet potatoes. Each time we try to feed her it's a battle to get in a few bites. She is now waking up more at nights & I think it's because she is needing more nourishment than she is currently getting from milk alone. I'm trying & trying to get more down. Hopefully I have more luck in the coming days or weeks...:( The doctors recommend starting on veggies so that she gets accustomed to their taste before giving fruits since fruit tastes so much better & she needs both to have a healthy diet. I just hope she will like something. Here's a pic of me feeding her. As you can tell more is on her face than in her belly!

Pumpkin Patch

In the sprit of being festive we (Melissa & I) decided to take the kiddos to the pumpkin patch today. We figured it would be fun...Maybe it'll be more fun next year! Lol! It was a fairly nice day so we loaded up the kids & went over to Elsinore to the patch to pick some pumpkins & take some pics. On the way over we had 2 precious sleeping babies that we so RUDELY awakened once we got there. So from the beginning they weren't very happy with us. Once we were standing in line to ride the tractor thru the field we realized how windy it was...not so great for babies, but we went on the "short" ride for the "experience." We rode out on the tractor & stopped in the field to pick our pumpkins. I picked out one that was okay in look & size but was more concerned in the distance away from the tractor since I was lugging around a 6 month old in addition to anything I picked up. Thinking others that were on the tractor would quickly make their selections & we would be on the way Melissa & I positioned & prodded both babies to get a few good pics. They both soon tired of this & just wanted out of there! However...the other people on the tractor took what seemed like FOREVER to us with our grumpy babies who had had enough! Eventually we did make it back to the car & left & ended up getting a couple pumpkins & a few good pics. Here are just a couple for the memories. I'm sure next year will be better!

Needs some work....

So when I started this blog I expected to update it every couple of weeks or more often.....woops! It's now been about 3 months since I started it. Still don't have pics & haven't completely figured this thing out yet! I am going to be working on it & trying to figure it out. Everyone else's is super cute. I think I just need to put some effort into it & I'll get it going!

First Blog

So....This is my first blog. I'm new at this so please be forgiving. I'm not witty or smart in my writing so I'll keep it basic! I'll start with introducing my family. I'm Kimberly - Kimmy - Kim - whatever you wanna call me... & married to Jesse since 05/20/05. We just had our first child - the most adorable, perfect little girl - Kambree Carolyn. She is the joy of our lives & amazes us each & everyday. She is the first grandchild on both sides so needless to say she is probably one of the most spoiled little girl ever!!! She deserves it tho. I plan to keep this blog posted to keep a diary of her life & the special moments we share with her so we don't forget them in the coming years :) More to come...
